Naomi Morisawa-DeKoven, Past Chair

Naomi Morisawa De Koven is a business and securities lawyer based in Ottawa, Ontario. Through Morisawa De Koven Professional Corporation, she provides prompt and effective legal services to entrepreneurs, companies, and other professional service providers such as accountants and lawyers on a variety of matters within the business life cycle. She also has significant experience working with company management on issues relating to employee-shareholder-investor relations, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, technology transfer, and other commercial arrangements.

Naomi speaks regularly at conferences and other forums on topics relating to small and medium-sized businesses. Recently, she was appointed to the Small Business Advisory Committee of the Ontario Securities Commission. Naomi was a Toronto-based partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP prior to moving to Ottawa and carrying on her legal practice at two local law firms. Naomi earned her LL.B. at the University of Toronto and her B.A. from McGill University. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995.
