Playgroups operate Tuesday and Thursdays in the morning 9a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Responsibilities:
Provide one to one with pre-school children
Set up Playgroup stations, take down stations
Communicate with parent/caregivers
Engage groups of childrenat a stationResolve conflict with children, problem solve and communicate at their level.
Introduce new idea's to the program.
Will enable NROCRC to serve more community residents. Strengthens the programming by having more station support and time for one on one learning sessions.
Program provides hands on experience. Volunteer will improve their ability to communicate with children and resolve conflicts that are common at a young age.
Opportunities will be present to speak with parents/caregivers about child behaviour.
Opportunities to bring new idea's to the program will be encouraged.
Commitment / Engagement: 6 months to 1 year
