The Lodge is located on beautiful grounds but unfortunately most residents have mobility problems that prevent them from enjoying these grounds. Strolling companions take residents outside, usually in their wheelchairs, and explore the grounds with them, admiring the gardens, watching the antics of the chipmunks and the activity around the birdhouses, waiving at the passing boaters or just chatting in the shade of a gazebo.
(Carleton Lodge is located on the Rideau River near the point where Prince of Wales Drive meets Woodroffe Avenue. It is ideally situated for residents of Manotick, Barrhaven and Nepean South. The Lodge has ample parking. The nearest bus stop is a 13 minute walk away.)

Carleton Lodge is located on lovely grounds along the Rideau River at the point where Prince of Wales Drive meets Woodroffe Avenue. Carleton Lodge has been on this site since 1960 and in its present building since 1989. One hundred and sixty (160) residents call Carleton Lodge their home. Carleton Lodge has ample parking but, unfortunately, no direct bus service.
