Interested in animal welfare? Want to make a difference in the lives of animals and help a grass-roots organization increase its public profile? The CCWR Board wants to recruit a new member with a background in Marketing or Fundraising.
The volunteer member of the Board will provide a unique perspective in the decision making process for governing the charity. Through meeting with other Board members and the Executive Director to review, discuss and plan the development of CCWR, the volunteer will play a role in making CCWR a strong and vital contributor to the greater Ottawa community, enabling CCWR to develop comprehensive public education programs and improve the lives of animals in need.
As a Board member, this volunteer will have a role in governing the direction and growth of CCWR to ensure it best serves the interests of the community and continues to fulfill its mission. Board experience can be a valuable entry on a resume.
The Board meets quarterly, usually on a weekday evening at a place of mutual convenience. Board members may also be called upon for extra meetings when a crucial decision needs to be made which requires Board approval.
