Bike Festival - Bike Rodeo Guide Host/Hostess @ Capital Vélo Fest Inc.

Capital Vélo Fest, an Ottawa based non-profit corporation with the mission to "Inspire People of All Ages To Ride A Bike More Often". We accomplish this by organizing fun cycling events and activities in partnership with governments, cycling advocacy groups and the cycling industry. Our main event is a bicycle festival. Held at Ottawa City Hall on Saturday June 1st, it consists of a Bike Rodeo during the day with cycling information, demonstrations, entertainment and games. In the evening we have a Tour La Nuit, a bike ride under the stars without any cars, on closed off streets. The host/hostess position involves helping with the festival logistics during the event. Running one of the cycling games such as backwards races, balloon jousting, slow races, bike limbo, bike powered smoothie machine by providing instructions and directions to the festival attendees.
