VO is recruiting and deploying volunteers to respond to the volunteer needs specific to COVID-19 in Ottawa, Prescott-Russell, Lanark County and Renfrew County while ensuring proper screening and training protocols to safeguard the health of those volunteering and those they are assisting. Are you considering Virtual Volunteering? Virtual volunteering is done online, via computers, tablets, or smartphones, usually off-site from the non-profit organization being supported. More and more, organizations are engaging people who want to contribute their skills and time via the Internet. Read this information as you consider this volunteering option.
Those volunteers who are under 70 years old with a current vulnerable sector check who are interested in helping to support seniors or adults with physical disabilities can find additional opportunities on the Champlain Community Support Network's COVID-19 response site for volunteers.
