The ChangeTheWorld – Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge is an annual campaign for youth aged 14 to 18 to volunteer a minimum of three hours. The 2017 campaign runs for 6 weeks and kicks off during National Volunteer Week (April 23 to 29) through to June 3.
ChangeTheWorld is a chance to show students that volunteering is mutually beneficial and that achieving 40hrs shouldn’t feel like a barrier, rather an opportunity to follow their interests, make new friends, and gain experience. By presenting students with a wide range of different volunteer opportunities, targeted specifically to them, we hope to make the process of getting involved with volunteering easy and fun as well as encourage volunteerism past mandatory hours.
There are now 24 volunteer centres across the province participating.
