At seven years old, Noemie Pound approached her mother with an idea for a fundraising event. Not long after, the tiny backyard fundraiser that they had planned for had snowballed into a large event that accommodated over 300 people and received wide spread media attention. Noemie has been completely responsible for the organization and coordination of her event; procuring sponsorship and donations, securing the event venue, entertainment and accommodations and recruiting youth volunteers. Her joint fashion show/silent auction raised over $14,000 for CHEO and the CHEO Research Institute in 2014 and has a goal set at $15,000 for 2016.
