Tulsy has continuously exemplified a strong altruistic drive and has been a keen volunteer in her community. Presently, she volunteers for various organizations in Ottawa including Canadian Blood Services, the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Special Olympics Ottawa, the Canada Science and Technology Museum and CHEO.
She plays significant roles at these organizations by providing care for patients, assisting physicians and nurses, training children and adults with special needs and through instilling a love for STEM related fields in children.
In February of 2018, Tulsy received the Kindness Award as part of the Caring and Sharing Exchange, and in March of 2019, she was awarded the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers in recognition of her contributions to the community.
Tulsy is currently completing her Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree at the University of Ottawa. She aims to attend medical school and ultimately pursue a career in paediatrics. One of her greatest aspirations is to begin a non-profit organization that provides children in developing nations with better access to high-quality education. Tulsy is extremely passionate about the work that she does and hopes to continue with her philanthropic pursuits for many years to come.
