Working in the not-for-profit sector, we are constantly being challenged to do more with less, to reach more stakeholders and vulnerable people while funding sources are drying up. This means we have to get really good at monitoring our finances.

 Everyone who is involved with organizational finances, which could include the Treasurer, Board Chair, Program Managers, or Executive Director.

Instructor

John Gilhooly has over 30 years of experience as a senior manager in a financial and risk management and accounting context; currently, he is a senior manager at BDO Canada. He is qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor, in addition to a Certification in Risk Management Assurance and a Master’s of Business Administration.
