VO is recruiting and deploying volunteers to respond to the volunteer needs specific to COVID-19 in Ottawa, Prescott-Russell, Lanark County and Renfrew County while ensuring proper screening and training protocals to safeguard the health of those volunteering and those they are assisting. Please see the intake portals for volunteers, for members, and for other agencies on our hompage. Summer in the Forest: Celebrate L'Arche at the National Gallery @ 7PM

‘A timely reminder to live with open hearts and minds.’

• Join us October 26 at the National Gallery of Canada for a celebration of Jean Vanier and L’Arche Ottawa.

• We’ll celebrate with a special screening of Summer in the Forest.

• Highlights of this ground-breaking documentary will be introduced by director Randall Wright, who is travelling from the U.K. to support this community fundraiser.

• Award-winning journalist Ian Brown, author of The Boy in the Moon, will also join us on stage to consider life in L’Arche and the legacy of Jean Vanier.

• Watch for special greetings from L’Arche founder Jean Vanier.

C'est une question fondamentale pour nous tous, et pour le philosophe canadien Jean Vanier ainsi que pour ces personnes, avec ou sans déficience, qui vivent dans les communautés de L'Arche partout dans le monde, fondées par Jean Vanier il y a plus de 50 ans. Summer in the Forest est un documentaire acclamé par la critique qui a fait son chemin à travers l'Europe, les États-Unis et maintenant le Canada. Le cinéaste britannique Randall Wright explore la vision et la vie de Jean Vanier à L'Arche, filmant à L'Arche Trosly et à L'Arche Bethléem. Le message positif de Randall Wright informera et favorisera le dialogue pour nous tous.
