COVID-19 Update

VO is recruiting and deploying volunteers to respond to the volunteer needs specific to COVID-19 in Ottawa, Prescott-Russell, Lanark County and Renfrew County while ensuring proper screening and training protocals to safeguard the health of those volunteering and those they are assisting. Please see the intake portals for volunteers, for members, and for other agencies on our hompage. VO’s COVID 19 volunteer deployment program is supported by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund and the Ottawa Community Foundation.

2017 National Music Festival

June 5, 2017

Dates: Aug 8, Aug 9, Aug 10 & Aug 11

Site: University of Ottawa, in Pérez Hall.

Volunteer Opportunity: Manning an information Kiosk. Giving directions, answering questions about Ottawa and the National Music Festival, selling programs and passes.

All information provided.

A volunteer briefing /training will be held on Sunday August 6 in the evening.

Volunteers will be sitting in an air-conditioned hall.

Shifts for 2 volunteers on each day: 21/2 hours : 8:30 am- 11:00 am, 11:30 am-1:30 pm, 1:30 pm- 4 pm. , 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Needed: volunteers, 17 years and older, who enjoy interacting with people, bilingualism being an asset.
