Information session Circles of Support and Accountability
September 25, 2017
“I love that, through volunteering with CoSA, I get a chance to help keep society safe by offering support and holding my core member accountable”.
Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) Ottawa is a volunteer-based reintegration program that assists individuals who have served a prison sentence for a sexual offence(s) and seek CoSA’s help, voluntarily, in their effort to develop a meaningful, safe life in the community.
The Core Member and three to five trained and screened community volunteers comprise a Circle. They meet as a group and individually on a regular basis to address challenges that arise. Read more about what it means to volunteer with CoSA

After attending this one-hour session, participants are welcome to sign up for Basic Training. At any point during the training, prospective volunteers can choose to discontinue the training. Attending all or a portion of the training does not obligate participants to become a CoSA volunteer. A certificate will be issued to participants who complete all training sessions.
