ATIO Workshop – Community and Court Interpreter Best Practices and Ethics / Atelier de l’ATIO : L’interprétation communautaire et juridique : Meilleures pratiques et éthiques

The Community and Court Interpreter Best Practices and Ethics workshop aims to furnish participants with the most basic information on the do’s and don’t’s of the profession. Both translators and other language professionals who are interested in interpreting are recommended to attend this workshop. Active interpreters are also encouraged to attend because they will find some of the workshop information as valuable refresher. The presenter will provide with a handout and a copy of his presentation after the workshop.
This workshop will be conducted in English only. This workshop will be presented by Bekircan (John) Tahberer, Manager Membership & Educational Services at STIBC
Bekircan has been a teacher of languages and a translator for many years. He developed language courses and teaching materials in English and Turkish. He is also a lecturer in history and ancient numismatics.
