Where: Britannia Park, Ottawa (under the Britannia Park Trolley Station - located west of the Britannia Beach Parking Lot)

Guest Speaker(s):

Keenan Wellar is the Co-Leader and Director of Communications at LiveWorkPlay. A detailed description of his achievements throughout the years can be viewed at https://keenanwellar.wordpress.com/biography.

Some of the key points of his presentation will include:

- employment success for people with intellectual disabilities: what we've learned about challenges and opportunities;

- the role of employment supports: how a community development approach is opening new doors; and

- nuts and bolts: how to access employment supports, and what can be done to better your chances while you wait (or before you graduate).

LiveWorkPlay has been successful in partnering with local businesses of all sizes for the employment of people with intellectual disabilities and autism. You can learn more at http://liveworkplay.ca/work.

Mr. Kellar will be joined by a member of the LiveWorkPlay employment team.
