Funded by the Ottawa Community Foundation, Families Matter Co-op Inc. invites you to join us for some tasty treats and a great conversation on the topic of ‘Employment Opportunities for People Living with a Developmental Disability’.
The Coffee House series is designed for parents, siblings and caregivers to get together and share knowledge and experiences, build networks and access essential information on community services, programs and support systems.
When: Thursday, June 14, 2018 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
Where: Britannia Park, Ottawa (under the Britannia Park Trolley Station - located west of the Britannia Beach Parking Lot)

Some of the key points of his presentation will include:
- employment success for people with intellectual disabilities: what we've learned about challenges and opportunities;
- the role of employment supports: how a community development approach is opening new doors; and
- nuts and bolts: how to access employment supports, and what can be done to better your chances while you wait (or before you graduate).
