VO Workshop: Writing Good Web Content

12 septembre 2016, 9:00 - 11:00 AM

Bland won’t cut it. As a non-profit organization, you have a message to sell. While your organization may have scarce resources and provide a service that’s in demand, you still need to persuade your target audience that it’s worth supporting. Your website is a valuable tool in reaching your clients, donors, the media, volunteers, and funding agencies.

In this workshop tailored specifically to non-profit organizations, you’ll learn how to structure the content of your website so that it works hard to win the hearts and minds of your target audience. The result of strong content is increased traffic to your site and increased response rates to your various calls to action.

Who should attend?

Communication and marketing managers, people who write press releases and web posts and those who give interviews on behalf of their organization.

Learning objectives

At the end of this workshop, you’ll have the tools (and inspiration!) you need to:

  • Identify your target market so you can better focus your message
  • Identify the benefits that you bring to the table to your target market so that you can motivate your site visitors to respond to your calls to give, to volunteer, or to participate in the services you offer
  • Define your unique role in the community you serve so that you stand out as worthy of support and funding
  • Gain solid ideas on how to strengthen each page of your website

As a bonus, you will also receive an e-book that covers all the topics covered in the seminar, but in a readable form. This e-book will serve as a reference that you can keep by your side as you write the text for your own site.
