Nepean Old-Time Fair

juin 3, 2017, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Outdoors at Howrad Darwin Centennial Arena on Merivale Road

Takes place Saturday June 3 from 11am to 5pm.

This will be one of the major local events on the "Ottawa 2017" calendar.  It is organized by the Knoxdale-Merivale Council of Community Associations, with primary funding from the City of Ottawa, along with support from other communities and businesses bordering Merivale Road. We are expecting up to 500 people to attend, from across Nepean and Ottawa.

The event aims to re-create the atmosphere of a country fair of 150 years ago, celebrating our heritage and contrasting the old with the new.

There will be performance on stage, many interactive displays, games and activities for all ages, including music and dance, a variety of food vendors, rides and more.

We are seeking volunteers to help on the day of the event- Saturday June 3

-setting up the site: tents, tables, chairs, signage, arranging displays

-assisting exhibitors, welcoming & guiding performance

-staffing of activity stations, games, races

-crowd control, safety monitoring, directing parking

-taking down exhibits, tents, tables after event

-clean-up of site during and after event
