BO est en train de recruter et de déployer des bénévoles pour répondre aux besoins en matière de bénévolat liés spécifiquement à la COVID-19 à Ottawa, à Prescott-Russell, dans le comté de Lanark et dans le comté de Renfrew tout en assurant des protocoles de dépistage et de formation appropriés pour protéger la santé des bénévoles et de ceux qu'ils aident. Veuillez trouver les portails d'accueil des bénévoles, des membres et des autres organisations sur notre page d'accueil. Le programme de déploiement de volontaires COVID 19 de BO est soutenu par le Fonds de soutien communautaire d'urgence du gouvernement du Canada et la Fondation communautaire d'Ottawa.

VO Workshop: The 3Rs of Volunteer Management - Recruitment, Retention, Recognition

We will help you think about new strategies and help you evolve your program to include new roles and responsibilities for volunteers, pathways for more involvement and leadership positions in your program, how recognition plays a role in retention, and the importance of including continuing education and professional development to keep your volunteers engaged.

Tools to help you evaluate your program and implement new ideas will be provided

  • $75 for non-members

Facilitator:

Maria Lahiffe, VO's Education Officer, has 13 years of experience in education and 4 years of experience in volunteer management. She herself has been a lifelong volunteer, including having served on three Boards of Directors and volunteered in a developing country for three years.


If paying by cheque, please make payable to Volunteer Ottawa and mail in prior to the workshop date to secure your spot. In the note section please write the date, your name and organization. E.g., November 23rd workshop - John Doe from Volunteer Ottawa.


Cancellation Policy

Receipt of registration will be confirmed by e-mail or best alternative. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received within five (5) business days prior to an event. If cancellation is received with more than five (5) business days before the event, a $5.00 administration fee will apply. Registered participants who fail to attend an event will be invoiced for the full fee, due 30 days from the date of the invoice. Registration can be transferred to another member of your organization, if you are unable to attend.
