VO Workshop: Presentation Skills - How to Really Get your Point Across

Full-day, Saturday: avril 8, 2017, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Presentation-640px.jpgYou have the best plan, the best ideas, you know you’re absolutely right! BUT, you’re either uncomfortable presenting in front of people or are not sure how to put your package together.

It may not be in your job description but it’s critical to your performance. You need to know how to prepare for and present yourself to your peers and superiors. You must communicate effectively and efficiently getting the participants to clearly understand and accept the material you’re presenting?

This one day workshop will provide you with the tools and techniques you can use to design, prepare and present more successfully.

You will learn:

  • 10 Required Communication Skills
  • 5 Basic Required Presentation Skills
  • Interpreting Body Language
  • Selecting, Structuring and presenting the material
  • How to Handle Questions
  • Phrases every Presenter should know
  • All of your responsibilities as a Presenter/Trainer

Results of participating in this workshop include derived authority versus delegated authority, increased self-confidence, new skill sets, personal growth and improved communication skills, both personally and professionally

About your Instructor:

Ben Schlussel has an international reputation as a thought leader and a highly sought after consultant and facilitator. He is the founder and Principal Consultant of BMS Associates, a management consulting, education and training enterprise.

Now retired, he continues to stay active and share his knowledge and experience by volunteering for several not for profit organizations in the Ottawa. They include the Diabetes Association of Canada, the Ottawa Chapter of APICS and Volunteer Ottawa.

Ben is a consummate professional with extensive experience in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain management. He has worked with clients the fields of electronics, precision machining, heavy metal fabrication, machine tools, aerospace/defense, transportation equipment, auto parts, food products, pharmaceuticals and not for profit service industries.

Mr. Schlussel is proud to have received the Toyota Best Idea Award presented at the SAPICS conference in Durban, South Africa.

Ben has conducted hundreds of workshops internationally, for APICS, the American Management Association (AMA) and a variety of businesses, educational institutions, and professional organizations. He is the author of the AMA’s course on Supply Chain Management.
