We are a Canadian Charity that connects with some of the most disenfranchised individual, families and small communities in Southern India and in disaster struck areas around the world.
In South India we have programs in four thematic groups with the goals of improving local nutrition, improving the local environment, improving local health care and improving access to good local education. We work with several registered Indian Charitable Trusts to assist individuals, families and small communities to create opportunities afforded by better health and education. We make the most impact by directly supporting people through our series of medical and educational programs.
Worldwide we provide relief by improving health care to people trapped in environmental or humanitarian disasters. We work through accredited Canadian Organizations like The Canadian Red Cross.
We are all volunteers and every dollar donated to our programs results in a dollar being spent in South India or with our worldwide partners. We invite you to contribute your time, skills or financially to support our various programs.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our covid 19 programs in India need more support. We are all volunteers and we are looking for additional volunteers who have experience with writing, social outreach and advocacy. We wish to raise awareness about the important work that we do contain Covid 19 and improve access to nutrition, education and health care in India. We also wish to explore ways to broaden our appeal and to raise money for our covid based programming.

Do you have the following qualifications:
- Past outreach, advocacy, and fundraising experience
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Highly-motivated and well-organized

Canadians Sharing Locally and Globally is a registered charity that is fighting Covid, saving lives, limiting disease spread and relieving the effects of poverty in India. Locally we share by engaging volunteers and building awareness of the needs and opportunities that people in South India and elsewhere face. We build awareness in local communities throughout the world for our programs and the direct beneficial relief that the programs deliver.

Globally we share by engaging volunteers all over the world in supporting our charitable partners as we carry out nutritional, medical, educational and disaster relief programs that build health, relieve poverty, improve education and create the foundation for social change.

We're an all volunteer charity and most of our charitable programs are in Covid struck India. The needs of our charitable partners in India are great right now and the charitable support from Canadians has been overwhelming for our medical and educational programs.
Canadians Sharing Locally and Globally requires volunteers to help with our rapidly expanding accounting requirements. We are looking for bookkeepers or accountants with some experience on certain software, daily operations and filing charity returns. We're using accounting software called Xero and a CRM called Insightly. We have worked with Sage Simply Accounting before. The volunteer requirement could be as light as phone support for guidance regarding software function to entering daily transactions and helping to integrate our softwares more efficiently.
Working knowledge of CRA’s requirements for charities working abroad is a huge assett.
