The Ottawa Tool Library (OTL) is a non-profit tool lending library in Ottawa located at Makerspace North in City Centre off of Scott St.. We offer four categories of tools: hand tools, power tools, garden tools, and kitchen tools. We are a volunteer-driven organization and are always looking for community-minded individuals to share their talents, time, and energy to the cause.
Since 2019, we also have a WorkSpace where people can work on their projects in a fully stocked woodshop.
As a non-profit social enterprise, the Ottawa Tool Library (OTL) relies on contributions from a range of talented individuals to fulfill its mission of providing access to tools and skills throughout the local community. Volunteers are essential to permit the OTL to lend tools to its membership at minimal cost, permitting access to a broad range of tools. Our mission is to engage and empower the community to participate in sharing resources by providing access to tools and skills for everybody.
