The 180 Residents long term care home is situated on the picturesque banks of the Rideau River in Central Ottawa. Garry J. Armstrong on its’ doors in June 2005 replacing the former Island Lodge. The Home provides high-quality, client-centered care in a home-like environment that is comfortable, safe and secure. We are looking for volunteers that will help escort Residents to and from their hair appointments within the Home. Volunteer opportunities available on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. We are looking for a Pastoral Volunteer that would be interested in leading a team of Roman Catholic Pastoral Volunteers. The role would include preparing the Faith Center for the Roman Catholic Mass on Friday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30. Before and after the mass, you would organize the Pastoral volunteers to escort and or porter Residents to and from the Faith Centre.
You would also organize the pastoral visitors to meet the needs of the Roman Catholic Residents.
Another aspect of the Role would be to represent the Roman Catholic Faith on the Pastoral Committee.
