Since 1993, the Royal City Soccer Club has hosted unique soccer camp experiences for thousands of boys and girls at all levels of soccer. We are a registered non-profit community organization registered in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. We originated our programs in Guelph, hence, the Royal name. Through popular demand our camps have quickly grown to over 100 different locations across Canada. We look forward to continue offering unique soccer camp experiences for youth in Canada.

Volunteer Opportunities

Since 1993, the Royal City Soccer Club has hosted unique soccer camp experiences for thousands of boys and girls ages 5-13 at all levels of soccer.

WHAT WE AIM TO ACHIEVE:
- Excellent child care service during the summer,
- Provide soccer instruction to youth in a summer camp atmosphere in a safe and encouraging environment,
- Promote enjoyment, participation and team play in soccer and sport,
- Host and continuously develop unique soccer programs and experiences for today's youth.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Volunteers are treated like staff and expected to maintain a good work ethic by assisting all staff onsite and providing a fun and safe learning atmosphere for campers. Volunteers should be energetic, enthusiastic, responsible and a team player. Volunteers are required to watch a brief volunteer video prior to camp starting.

Duties include assisting staff with:
- Soccer drills and warm ups
- Set up and helping with camp activities
- Assisting with supervision in the swimming pool
- Helping camp staff with any other needs that arise during the camp week

ELIGIBILITY:
We require our volunteers to be 14 years old at the start of the week they wish to volunteer. Example: If you choose week 4 July 22nd to 26th, you must be 14 years old by July 22nd. We do not hold a maximum age limit to volunteer, however if you are over the age of 18 you must provide a police check.

COMMITMENT:
We want our volunteers to be committed to us because relationships do form between our campers and volunteers. Hours expected are 8 hours a day starting at 8:30am to 4:30 pm. Volunteer may choose between a morning, afternoon, or full day shifts based on their availability. We run from July 2nd to August 30th and you are allowed to volunteer for as many weeks as you want. We require our volunteers to commit for a minimum of one week.

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS:
Volunteers are expected to be at camp according to one of three pre-determined shifts according to your application. A letter confirming hours of volunteering is available on completion if requested.

Mornings 8:30am -12:30pm
Afternoons 12:30pm to 4:30pm
Full Days 8:30am to 4:30pm

Morning or afternoon sessions are approximately 4 hours/day (20 hours/week) and full day sessions are 8 hour/day (40 hours/week).
