PERC is a grassroots community organization primarily charged with communicating and educating the Ottawa area community with issues surrounding peace, social justice and the environment, both locally and as the local region relates to the rest of the world.

We publish the Peace and Environment News (PEN), a free paper which is distributed through the library and community centre network in Ottawa, as well as through private businesses and to a mailing list of supporters.

We also support other organizations that fall within this mandate, especially the local environmental NGO community, and provide resources for citizens to take action on issues important to them.
