Volunteer Opportunities

Friends of the Family is looking for volunteers, families and individuals who have lived in Ottawa for a while. This is an excellent opportunity to make new friends and share daily joys and struggles virtually at first, and in person, once the COVID is behind us. Friends of the Family is a community development program where newly arrived Canadians are matched with locally established families. Usually, the matched families would meet online once per week and learn about each others, connect over activities and share practices. For the new Canadians, the local volunteers are insiders, local system and culture liaisons and for the local volunteers the new Canadians share practices from across the world and expanding internationality.
