We are a 303 bed long term care home to individuals with a variety of disabilities and abilities. We have a number group and individual activities that are implemented from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. We host a lot of large events with special foods and live entertainment as well as smaller more quaint events that are specialized and individualized. We offer complementary therapies such as Snoezelen, pastoral care, and palliative care. Due to the size of our facility we have an extensive amount of volunteer opportunities for all interests, ages, nationalities, and the person who has the gift of unhurried time.
We have a high number of people from the Chinese culture living within our home. We are looking for people to come in and visit with residents who only speak Cantonese. We ask that all our volunteers complete a police check(over the age of 16) and a TB test, if this is an interest to you please call or e-mail.
We are actively seeking a Roman Catholic Priest to assist in our Church service on Tuesday mornings. Church/Spiritual care is a very important role within our home. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to volunteer in the community in a Long term Care Home.Training and guidance will be provided by our Recreation Manager.
