The Parkdale Abbeyfield House is looking for a volunteer to fill the role of Kitchen Volunteer. The Kitchen Volunteer is responsible for supporting the Cook Coordinator in the smooth operation of the kitchen. The Kitchen Volunteer reports to the Director of House Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the Cook/Coordinator in the preparation and delivery of 2 meals per day (lunch and dinner) for 10 senior individuals
• Assist with food preparation
• Serve meals to residents
• Assist with the review and development of menu plans
• Occasional grocery and supply shopping a local markets
• Attend monthly meetings of the House Committee

• Knowledge of food preparation
• Experience providing kitchen assistance or meal service is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety regulations
