Description

Matthew House Furniture Bank is seeking a few volunteer truck drivers to help us deliver quality used furniture to those who are struggling in our community. Our clients include: refugees, single mothers, those transitioning from homeless shelters, and others who have lost their possessions. Our clients are referred from over 50 social service agencies. We help over 60 families per month.

Roles and Responsibilities:
-Must have a valid G Class Driver's License;
-Must provide a recent Police Record's Check;
-Must provide a recent Uncertified Driver Record;
-Drive delivery truck to clients' homes;
-Drive delivery truck to furniture donors' homes;
-Supervise Driver's Assistants;
-Assist with moving furniture onto and from delivery truck;
-Assist with moving furniture into and within warehouse;
-Must be available 4-6 hours a week;
-Shifts are as follows: Mondays 9:00am – 5:00pm, Tuesdays 10:00am - 3:00pm, Wednesdays 9:00am - 5:00pm, Thursdays 10am - 3pm; and Saturdays 10:00am -3pm;
-Operate within MHO: FB guidelines;
-Focus on and execute safe work practices to achieve a safe work environment; and
-Work well in a fast paced environment.
