The Day Program is for people in the community living with dementia. Participants enjoy a day of activities designed to enhance their well-being in a safe and supportive setting, while providing respite and support for care partners.
Information, supportive counseling, and referrals to other community services and programs is also offered.

A variety of socially stimulating & engaging activities are offered including:
• Group discussions
• Creative arts
• Music & singing
• Reminiscing
• Pool
• Computer games & iPad activities
• Board games & cards
• Baking
• Intergenerational programs
• Birthday, holiday & multi-cultural celebrations
• Pet visits
• Entertainment
• Story telling
• Spa activities
• Bingo
• Lending a helping hand

Exercise & physical activity is encouraged including:
• Exercise classes
• Walks in the neighborhood
• Dancing
• Physically active group games

Coffee & home-made muffins are served upon arrival. Snacks and a three-course meal are provided.

Volunteers and students are an integral part of our team and together with staff they help to provide a supportive, relaxed and engaging environment for all who visit. Our volunteers typically assist the program one day a week from 8:30-3:00; however the hours can be flexible if necessary.
