CN Cycle for CHEO - Bus Supervisor

Description

Date: Sunday, May 6

Time: Plan to arrive by 6:30 a.m. and check-in at the Volunteer Registration Area – follow the signs. Shift is 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Duties: You will be given a route map and a listing of volunteers for each stop. The safety vest and radio you will be given must be returned at the end of the event.

Before Departure: Please locate the sign with your bus number in the hall outside the cafeteria inside the Canadian War Museum. Gather the required number of route assistants for your bus, as indicated on the back of the bus sign. Very important to ensure that all the people on your bus are on time as per your scheduled load/departure time.

On Bus: Confirm that the bus driver is reachable.

Ensure volunteers get off at the proper location (rest stop volunteers and route assistants). Give each volunteer their zone number and clearly communicate to them that they must return to the drop off location when it is time for pickup. You will be getting off at the last stop on your section of the route and you will become a route assistant at that location.

You are responsible for ensuring all volunteers are picked up after the event.

As a volunteer, you’ll receive:
- Breakfast snack
- A snack bag to take with you and BBQ lunch when you return
- A short-sleeved CN Cycle for CHEO volunteer t-shirt
- Short training session
- Entry into the volunteer prize draw
- Transportation to and from your barricade

Must be at Least 21 Years of Age.
