2018 Walk for Dementia - Route Marshall Coordinator

Summary

In collaboration with the Walk Committee, the Route Marshal Coordinator is responsible for setting up and managing the Walk route, and route marshals. This position reports to the Logistics Coordinator, and will take an active role on the Walk for Dementia Planning Committee
Time Commitment: Current Date – May 31st 2018, 3-5 hours per week. Must be able available on event day.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Attend monthly Planning Committee meetings; Meetings are by-weekly in month before Walk
• Develop an in depth understanding of the Walk route by studying maps and attending a site walk
• Working with the Logistics Coordinator, determine signage and plan for route marshals
• Orient, train and supervise route marshals
• Oversee the water/cheering stations and assist volunteers where needed
• With volunteer marshals, set up route prior to event and tear down/clean up after
