2018 Walk for Dementia - Food & Beverage Support

Summary

In collaboration with the Walk for Dementia Committee, and reporting to the Logistics Coordinator, the Food and Beverage support are responsible for securing, arranging and liaising with refreshment suppliers and supporting logistics surrounding the offering of coffee and snacks for the Walk for Dementia participants on event day.


Responsibilities and Duties

• Attend scheduled committee meetings.
• Ensure that all refreshments to be served are pre-packaged and do not require preparation or refrigeration.
• Arrange for refreshments to be delivered.
• Oversee delivery of refreshments and set up of refreshment station(s) on the day of the event.
• Oversee refreshment volunteers.
• Make sure that refreshment donors are appropriately recognized at the event.
• Arrange for all refreshment stations to be cleaned up after the event.


Requirements, Qualifications and Skills

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong computer/email skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
