Description

The Telephone Assurance Program (TAP) requires volunteers to call clients (weekdays only) on a regular basis to check on the client's well being and provide a response if the call is not answered within a reasonable time frame. During these calls the volunteer will try to monitor the well-being of the client. Application, interview and Police Check required.

How will this volunteer opportunity benefit you?
Volunteers will learn how to assess individuals through conversation. The volunteer can provide support from their home and it only takes a few minutes per day.

How will the organization benefit?
Isolated seniors will benefit from having a caring individual contat them on a regular basis to ascertain their well being. It is very calming to know that someone will be checking in to see that our seniors are doing well.
