Description

Bridges is a community-based, collaborative service between four partnering agencies: Youth Services Bureau, CHEO, the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group, and Ottawa Public Health. Bridges provides a link between hospital and community offering intensive short-term clinical intervention and skill building for youth and their families presenting with complex mental health needs.

The program is looking for volunteers with their own certified therapy dog who can visit the youth engagement groups (small groups of less than half a dozen youth) that run on either Tuesday (4:30 - 5:30 pm) or Thursday (3 - 4 pm) out of our Queensview Dr. location. Bi-weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly schedules can be accommodated to suit the volunteer's availability.
