Description

Responsibilities:
• Interprets accurately the meaning and intent of the words spoken
• Is conscious of not imposing own values and opinions
• Maintains clear boundaries and professional conduct at all times
Required Qualities and Skills:
• Fluent in both English and French languages
• Translation experience preferred
• Personable, non-judgmental and open-minded
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Open to learning about HIV/AIDS, anti-oppression and anti-racism

Time Commitment and Place: Flexible

Training and Orientation:
• Orientation to HIV/AIDS and AIDS Committee of Ottawa
• HIV 101

Evaluation and Follow-up:
• On-going discussions and support as required
