Game Announcer/Scorekeeper Responsibilities
The relationship between the announcer and the players takes the game of baseball to another level and makes it more exciting!
• Introduction of the teams before the game.
• Call out the name (or nickname, if provided) and a fun fact about each player when they come up to bat (ie. favorite hobby, food
• Turn on the electronic scoreboard and keep the score up to date throughout the game.
• Play music using supplied pre-recorded music before and during the game.

How will this volunteer opportunity benefit you?
By volunteering with the Miracle League, volunteers will have the opportunity to support children, youth and adults with a variety of disabilities while they play baseball. A training session will be offered to volunteers prior to the start of the season and will provide an opportunity to learn about disability and support strategies as they apply to sport.
