We are launching a new initiative on Friday, March 16th. It is called Kids n Coffee - HHT (House Hunting Trip) Edition. The goal is to offer a welcoming environment to military families, speak to the programs and services offered at the Military Family Resource Centre and within the community.
The volunteers' role is to support the warm welcome event with setup and cleanup, and engage with the children present, run a craft a table, and put on a movie while the adults/parents can receive and exchange information with our staff.
Volunteers need to be outgoing and comfortable with interacting with children of various ages, and ideally be bilingual.
The event will run on the following dates:
-Friday, March 16th from 9:00am to 11:00am
-Friday, March 23rd from 9:00am to 11:00am.
Volunteers' shifts are from 8:30am to 11:30am to have time for orientation, setup and teardown.
The location is the Family Room at the MFRC: 330 Croil Private, Ottawa, ON.
