Helping With Furniture (http://www.hwfottawa.org) is a volunteer-run charitable organization that provides gently-used furniture and household goods to families and individuals in situations of hardship. Most of the families helped are referrals from social agencies. These families may have fled from conflict or life-threatening situations. Once a week, the organization collects the gently-used furniture and household items from donating residences, and delivers these items to the families in need.

HWF's work is possible in part thanks to generous corporate donations that help fund its operations. As the Corporate Donations Coordinator, under the support of the Fundraising Director, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining HWF's relationships with corporate donors. This will include:
• Documenting current corporate donors and identifying opportunities for recognition
• Identifying new corporate funding opportunities and submitting applications for support, with support from the team
• Corporate relationship management including appreciation and reporting, in collaboration with the Marketing Team
• Develop a generic sponsorship package

Time commitment: This role requires a commitment of 5 - 10 hours a month. This role is undertaken from home, with monthly team meetings that can be done in person or over the phone, with opportunities to participate in HWF's in-person operations according to the candidate's interests.
