Children’s Wish Heroes Challenge (formerly known as Exile Island) is a team challenge that brings together two types of Children’s Wish heroes: our supporters and our wish children!
Each team is tasked with raising $10,000, the average cost of a wish. Celebrate your team success with your wish child on challenge day, where teams compete in creative challenges designed to test team spirit, mental agility, and physical ability. Challenges are inclusive of all team members and participating wish children. Event Date June 15, 2018

The Team Recruitment Committee Member is critically important to the success of the event and is responsible for the following:
• Developing and executing a strategy to recruit individual corporate companies, local businesses, foundations, etc.
• Trying to secure a minimum of 4 new teams to participate in the event
• Recruiting teams and disbursing team forms and event information to them
• Marketing: Responsible for distributing brochures, buckslips, posters, and other promotional material throughout the city
• Community relations: Responsible for engaging community groups in Heroes Challenge (Lansdowne, Ottawa Sports and Entertainment, Pubs, City)
• Web postings: Responsible for posting information on relevant websites in the city
• Must like the Children’s Wish Facebook Page and share posts related to Heroes Challenge.
