Description

The Perley & Rideau Veterans' Health Centre Foundation is one of the 6 recipient charities selected for the HOPE Volleyball SummerFest and we want to show our support by providing a team of 50 volunteers to help with the event on July 13, 2019 at Mooney's Bay. Volunteers will work in pairs selling beer and liquor tokens in three possible bar locations (Main Stage, VIP, or HOT Lounge). Activities and responsibilities include:
• Validate Age of Majority of patron prior to selling beer and liquor tokens
• Verify acceptable Age of Majority identifications and apply ‘ID’ bracelets to patrons’ wrists
• Sell beer and liquor tokens; calculate amounts owed
• Handle cash and provide change

Volunteers must be a minimum of 19 years of age or older to sell tokens. Smart Serve Certification is an asset and encouraged. For this area, volunteers should be comfortable in dealing with the public, being in large crowds and handling cash.

Each volunteer will receive: Training/orientation. Attendance at the orientation session is mandatory and a Perley Rideau ball cap

With the funds raised from the day, the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre will support the 2019 Resident Priority Needs list for veteran and community residents in our Seniors' Village.
