Carlington Community Chaplaincy (CCC) has been helping, for over 25 years, people in the Carlington community area who live in social housing or are on low incomes. The community is very diverse. We foster a safe environment and we value all people.

Our Open Door Drop-In Centre is a hospitality program that runs Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to noon. This program is held at the Chaplaincy’s Main Space (Strong Hold Community Home) on 1465 Caldwell Ave, Unit 102. This drop-in program offers participants a healthy snack, coffee, tea and an opportunity to socialize.

Tasks and duties

Light food prep (cutting cheese cubes, fruit, etc.)
Serving food to visitors
Preparing coffee and tea
Setting up and cleaning up after the program
Greeting and socializing with participants
Promoting a safe and positive environment during the duration of the program
Time commitment: at least three hours a week

Availability: at least one day a week, Monday to Friday, between 9:30 am and 12:30pm.


Minimum 16 years of age
Ability to work with minimal supervision
