Marketing Assistant for Art in Strathcona Park 2nd Saturday in August

Description

Mental Illness Caregiver’s Association will ensure that caregivers have awareness of and access to resources that provide meaningful support for themselves and lifelong care for their loved ones with mental illness.

Art in Strathcona Park is MICA’s major annual fundraiser. As Marketing Assistant you will work with the Marketing Manager and other marketing volunteers to increase public and artist attendance through promotion of the event.

Responsibilities:
• Work with the Marketing Manager to promote Art in Strathcona Park to Artists and to the Public
• Distribute promotional material according to the promotional plan
• Assist in enhancing marketing strategies
• Assist with promotional materials including letters to artists, press releases, posters and others
• Assist in maintaining pre- and post-show communication
• Help track event attendance

Requirements:
• Marketing Experience, studies in marketing or an interest in marketing
• 1 year
• Knowledge and use of Social Media, software products, publicity, and promotional materials
• Communication skills, highly motivated, creative, etc.)
• Bilingualism would be an asset
