Bike Around pairs a stationary bike with Google Street View to take dementia residents on a virtual ride down memory lane. You input a street address or location that means something to the residents, a childhood home for instance, and then use the handlebars and pedals to "bike around" old neighborhoods. Our strongest memories are tied to location and Bike Around taps into this idea by combining mental simulation from surrounding the resident with places they recognize and physical stimulation from pedaling and steering.
