Description

Volunteers are needed to assist with the set up of the program. Volunteers will encourage residents to participate in the program by bringing plants to the table for residents to water,feed or prune. The volunteer will provide cues, prompts and physical assistance. Volunteers will engage in discussions and reminiscing during the program. This program runs every other Saturday.

How will this volunteer opportunity benefit you?
Volunteers will gain an understanding of dementia and the skill set needed to engage with folks diagnosed with this disease. Volunteers will receive ample opportunity to practice and develop transferable skills. Volunteers will be part of a team that work together to provide support for out residents.

How will the organization benefit?
We cannot run our programs without the assistance of our volunteers. Volunteers enhance our programs and bring happiness and joy to our residents.
