Description

Volunteers are needed to provide games for residents including but not limited to bowling, bean bag toss, ring toss, Basketball, and balloon ball. Volunteers will assist with set up, encourage residents to participate, escort residents to the activity. Volunteers will cheer on residents in keeping with a good sport attitude. Volunteers will under the supervision of a program facilitator. Volunteers will be working on a dementia unit. The program runs on Mondays from 1:30 - 3:30.

The volunteer will work with folks with dementia and learn transferable skills such as role playing and redirecting. Volunteers will learn about collaboration and teamwork, initiative and leadership while helping folks with memory loss.

We cannot run our programs with out the support of volunteers. They are the back bone of our programming and activities.
