Description

Cashiers for the snack bar will handle cash & credit cards, computerized customer ordering, filling orders from customers (popcorn, beverages, candy, etc.) and balance at the end of each movie.
Cashiers for Box Office will handle cash or credit cards, computerized ticket sales and membership sales as well as balancing at the end of the movie.
You must be over 18, available for 3 consecutive movie days for training purposes and then a commitment of at least 3 movies per month.Interested volunteers are asked to contact www.familycinema.ca and complete registration form under My Account.

How will this volunteer opportunity benefit you?
For more mature volunteers it is an opportunity to be part of a group of individuals from all walks of life who are interested in providing quality family entertainment to those in need as well as the general public. You will have to opportunity to learn many aspects of running a cinema that takes a school and turns it into a full scale modern theatre with box office, snack bar, novelty movie items and with Dolby 3D and surround sound. It is more than just showing a movie...the audience is integrated into the show with draws for prizes, birthday recognition, and much more.

How will the organization benefit?
We are celebrating 40 years of quality entertainment at low cost to the community as well as assistance to those who are economically challenged. We depend on keen volunteers such as yourself with vision and enthusiasm to facilitate the continued operation of the cinema and all its activities.
