Working along Vimy Place, in and around the Canadian War Museum.
You and a team of volunteers will control traffic, vehicle parking and parking access to reserved spots.
Ensure only vehicles on the VIP parking list are allowed access to park in front of the museum in the barricaded meter parking spots.
You will help direct vehicles to the underground parking. There is NO PARKING in front of the main doors of the museum, only drop off is allowed in the bus turn-around area. Once underground garage area is full, two volunteers will proceed to Booth Street to restrict access to the parking garage. You will inform visitors they will need to park elsewhere.
If the vehicle is bringing supplies to their tent onsite for set up, you will allow them to do so and show them on the site map where they are located. (Set up between 5:30 a.m. – 6:30 a.m.).
Remind drivers to drive slowly as there are many people attending this event.
Wear a safety vest at all times.
This position requires confidence, tact and good customer service skills!
