Route Captain - 2020 CN Cycle for CHEO


Organization: Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Foundation, The

Commitment: Short term (less than 6 months)

Availability: Weekends; Days

Language Preference: Bilingual

Number of Positions Available: 24

Location: Ottawa - Central

Deadline: Mar 31, 2020


** You will be asked to attend a mandatory training session on Friday, May 1st **


Strong leadership skills are required. 

Travel the route (by bike preferably).

Give support to the route assistants, and liaise with the event manager, police, and medical officials.

Ensure barricades are properly positioned before the start of the event and placed safely off the road as per event officials at the end of the event.

Ensure route assistants pick up all garbage along their stretch of route before releasing them from their assigned post.

Ensure all volunteers from your section have been picked up by the bus and returned to the Canadian War Museum.

Arrange for pickup of any volunteers who may have been left behind.
