Description

Canadian Cancer Survivor Network is a registered charity that leads patient participation in health care decision making, with a mandate to educate the public and policymakers about cancer survivorship – with particular emphasis on the patient's lived experience.

The Fundraising Assistant will support CCSN’s Partnership and Fundraising Manager with conducting prospect research to support the identification of leads, develop relationships with gatekeepers throughout the business community, and will assist in supporting the network’s major fundraising initiatives.

We are currently looking for motivated volunteers who are interested in researching socially responsible businesses, connecting with prospects and developing opportunities for CCSN to introduce its corporate fundraising initiatives to businesses across our community. In this role, you will be responsible for connecting with socially engaged businesses by:

- Identifying leads and determining best approaches
- Conducting cold calls to businesses
- Connecting and building relationships with gatekeepers
- Recording contact information and call details into our CRM
- Following up from conversations via telephone and email
- Working with the fundraising team to implement fundraising campaigns
- Performing other fundraising duties as required
